Copy Cat

Once upon a time, there lived a ten-year-old boy named Souvik in a small village, Jamalpur with his mother, father, and his elder brother, Shovon. Souvik had a very bad habit of copying others and everyone used to call him "Copy Cat". He often gets scolded by Shovon for his habit but he never pays attention to his words.

It was Sunday and Souvik was enjoying his holiday by playing video games. He soon became bored so he said to his mother," Maa, I'm going outside to play. I will be back before noon." But no one was playing outside so he started strolling.

Suddenly he saw a big crowd beside the farm. He rushed there and saw a young boy of his age holding a long stick horizontally and walking on a rope whose both ends were tied on a bamboo stick. Meanwhile, another boy a bit older than him was collecting coins from the crowd. Souvik was curious to know how he could do that without having any support. So as soon as the little boy finished one round, he rushed towards him with excitement and asked," Bhai, can you teach me how to do this? Please!!". The boy told him," Sorry but not everyone can do this, it's very dangerous."

Souvik got very angry and disappointed also, so he decided he could try it all by himself. So he arranged everything and got up but the rope was not tied tightly and due to overexcitement he didn't notice that there was a big stone just below the rope. He however managed to get on the rope but was unable to walk on it and unfortunately slipped his leg and fell on the ground, striking his head against the stone. He shouted hoarsely with pain. His head was badly injured, blood was gushing out continuously. Everyone ran hearing his shouting. He was immediately taken to hospital.

He was hospitalized for a week. He regretted his past actions and said to Shovon," Sorry Bhaiya, I swear I will never copy anybody in the future and I will always listen to your advice."
