"Why don't you let me sleep", Ana threw the pillow on her brother which from her half opened eyes she saw it hit him directly on his face. He furiously began to rub his nose and started singing again.

"Cinema cinema ...cinema cinema...sab ki kahani sab ka hai sapna..cinema...," and the extra fittings he did by creating music making tabla out of the head board was the last thing she wanted.

'Sunday's have become hopeless cases these days,'she thought unhappily.

"It is ten."he pointed her towards the wall clock. The sight of which immediately made her body hair to salute.

"Ass...you were suppose to wake me up by 9, why didn't you?" She scolded him while hastily climbing down from her bed. 'Oh God! I am late for my maths tution.' she panics.

'Seems like it is going to rain,' she tell herself when she stepped out in the courtyard. "But isn't it too dark?" Her second guess made her run inside the room like a raging bull. How come she didn't realize and fallen into his old trick. And what she sees next fills her with anger to the power of infinity. Chinnu was sleeping in her place. From head to toe covered in her blanket. Then she looks at the clock which was reset in what she knows now is the original time: 5 o' clock. Infuriated, she rips the cover off from his face and he moans, "for more sleep make some place for yourself in mummy's bed."

"You do that." Ana screams.

"I can't. If I go there she will send me back to study again."

"Then study!"

"Oh...Ana...you don't know how painful it is to study when the whole world is sleee...eeping." He yawns.

"One more paper and you will start giving complex to all the failed students." She shouts pulling her blanket.

"Lets not fight and make a deal...what say?" Chinnu scans her face for a reply but when Ana said nothing he suggested, "you let me sleep here and I will wake you up on time."

"What if I don't?" Ana plays the bet even after knowing her weakness for extra snooze time.

"Then get ready to listen to Rj Chinnu's special number."

"Hema...Rekha....Jaya aur Sushma sabki pasand...Nirmaaaa...Nirma."

"Stop! I say."

Ana could have asked her mother to do the favour. Mummy is good in everything. But from past few days she has become an agenda in her life bigger than Chinnu. With papa doing overtime at office mummy doesn't get enough of sleep herself and her routine never changes even on holidays. So slowly the frustration has built itself on her and Ana being the oldest easily becomes her detoxification centre. She has to wait till mummy becomes her mummy again so until then...she stares at Chinnu, not liking him even for a bit but then she tells him, "you can sleep on the floor."

"No...you sleep on the floor." Chinnu orders.

"...bu..but that's my bed." Ana cries in anger..

" And that's the idea." He smirked.

Irritated Ana began to make her arrangement. She brings an old blanket out from the cupboard and spreads it on the floor. The room wasn't big and she was getting the feeling as if she is almost sleeping under her own bed. But anyways there was no point cribbing and she tried to catch some sleep. While she turned and twisted she counted each second the clock made. Only fifteen minutes passed giving her a feeling as if she has spent a lifetime on the floor. Then something ticked her too. She sat next to Chinu on the bed, close to his head and with a ruckus tune in her husky voice she began singing his favourite song.

"Cinema...cinema...cinema cinema ...sabki kahani sabka hai sapna.." and was kind enough to not to bang the head board like he did.

On her third try he asked from inside of the blanket.

"What's the deal?"

"If you don't sleep on the floor...I will call mummy and tell her that you are hiding here."

Chinnu had no other choice. Ana was a great student that always keeps her in good light before their parents and in the last exam he failed in six subjects excluding S.U.P.W.

Half-yearly is due next week and not even half of his course was finished.

Finally the deal was sealed.

Where Ana was rejoicing over her victory...tucked in her blanket and soft bed, Chinnu was planning another trick for revenge. "But ...how?"

His how was so long that he didn't realize when he fell asleep. And after few hours when he woke up he was in Ana's bed next to her.

"How did I come here?" he asks her pretty much up from his sleep.

"It is a big bed...I thought we both could share it." her voice drugged with sleep.

"By the way just minutes ago mummy came to check on you I have told her that you were studying till 7."

"You lied for me?" He was astounded.

"No...for me ass...so that I don't have to listen to that ridiculous song of yours again."

Chinnu's not so sleepy face spilled with laughter.

"By the way i've set the alarm for both of us so if you want you can join me." she said turning around and fell asleep in no time. Chinnu was up... not sleepy anymore but still he hugged her and lay beside her whispering, "Cinema cinema ..." in her ears.

So moral of the story..

Sisters can be next to mothers but brothers will always be brothers.
