Once a very rich man lived in the city of Pune. He had many servants, cars, properties, etc. He had only one son. Naturally, he was very pampered since childhood.

He became very obstinate and bad-mannered as he grew up. As his father was pious and humble despite being rich, he wanted his son to be like that as well.

Now it was a major headache for him, to correct his son. He had a very close friend who did the job of fire brigade for him in times of emergency, i.e. he solved his problems.

He went to him that day and opened his heart out before him. His friend thought for some time and then got an idea!

He said that he knew a very learned man named Swami Tejaswi Ji who could solve all problems. Both friends decided to visit Swami Ji.

The boy's father met Swami Ji and told all about his son and his erratic behavior.

Swamiji said to the boy's father to send the boy to him for a meeting.

The boy went to Swamiji. Swami Tejaswi Ji asked the boy about his wellbeing. Then he said the boy to bring a rose from the garden. The boy obliged. Then Swamiji said to smell it. The boy smelled and replied that it had an awesome aroma!

Then Swamiji told the boy to keep the rose in the bookshelf for some time and bring it again. Again he made the boy smell it. Once more the boy said that it smelled like before.

Then Swami Ji made the boy take the rose to the cowshed. And keep it near the cows and bring it back. It smelled the same again!

Swamiji now said to the boy that the latter should become like the rose!

As the aroma of the rose remained the same no matter where it was kept, so also he should not lose his good behavior and habits no matter what the situations or conditions are!

Even if he belonged to a rich family, he has no identity of his own. All of his identity is only that he is his dad's only son!

First, he has to build an identity for himself. Then only the society would respect him and his parents would be proud of him!

If he felt into bad company and in bad ways, then he would lose his position and dignity and he would no longer be like the rose which never lost its aroma no matter where it was!

The boy realized his mistake and apologized to Swamiji. And promised to be a good boy!
