7th March 2020,

I was very excited when we got the chance to travel to the hill station of Munnar. My whole family was very excited. As I was writing this my mother called me,” Came Here Yash”. It was me, I’m Yash. I rushed into the kitchen. she wanted me to call everyone for dinner and so I did. When I called my family for dinner my father had some really bad news for us. We were all astonished by the news. This news was so sad for us that my sister became angry and went into her room. I was sad too. The news was that the trip was given to a new member of my dad’s office. We couldn’t go there now. I had to sleep since I had the dreaded history exam.

10th March 2020,

Today was when ‘our’ trip would happen but since we weren’t able to go I was still sad. The day before yesterday, my history exam went really well and I was really surprised that I got so many marks as I don’t get well marks in history compared to geography. Right now it’s 9 pm and I would hate to admit I had actually accepted the trip canceled but when I saw the news it broke my heart. The hill station of Munnar was very damaged, there was an earthquake. There were 3 thousand people who died. This sank my heart and I had taken a moment to pray for the people who died.

The Moral of the story is: Don’t look at what you don’t have but what you accept.
