A Story Of Nature
A Story Of Nature
Let me tell you a story about nature.
When I was a child, we were once shown an experiment by our Science teacher. This was on the germination of a seed. We were all asked to get a seed from the market which could germinate like the sprouts. We were told to keep it in a moist cloth on the ground in our house overnight and bring it to school the next day.
I still remember the curiosity and excitement when I went to the vegetable market with my father in the evening and assisted by my elder sister, kept a few seeds in a wet cloth and could barely sleep that night. I woke up early the next day and ran to see them and sure enough, they had begun to germinate. I kept them in the wet cloth and took them to school holding them like precious diamonds in my hand. When we reached school, I compared my seeds with those of my friends and we all waited for the teacher while comparing each other's seeds.
The teacher came to class and started explaining the process of germination and growth of plants to us. It is there that I realised what a precious gift life is and how lucky we are to experience all that is there in this world. I started to respect nature and make efforts to make the world more green.
Even today, I love to go for hiking in natural trails and woods and also make it a point to conserve nature and ask others to do so. With this story, I am asking you all reading this story to do the same. Please respect and conserve nature, this wonderful creation on Earth, nurture it, do not destroy it or it will destroy you in the future.
