When You Are
When You Are
When you are fighting out in an emotional and tiring battlefield
And your vulnerabilities start creeping as protective shield
Just think of those poor souls who had been confined or caged
For the sins, they have never committed but are still unfazed
When your soul is bereft of much-needed love and warmth
And there is no one and nothing to resurrect your strength
Think of those who had everyone and everything around
But still decided to live a life of a recluse and never frowned
If your mind has blinded you in doing something bad and wrong
And your heart has befooled you into thinking that you are right
Do not let the consequences restrain you from being strong
And realize your unatoned sins without any discomfort and fright
Even if you are the last and lonely leaf of a dying tree
And the scorching heat of sun is striving to make you free
Do not lose your faith or be threatened by ever changing time
Standing erect till your last breath is something very sublime.
