Wedding
Wedding
An event so farce and pretentious
Like the hypocritical couple themselves
A grand gala to please the world
Whose sarcasm and spite are gift to the couple
Union supposedly a lifetime agreement
Only to be broken with no enforcement
One still dares to get in on it
For reasons unknown till they slip on it
The sounds the lights the colors the food
Crowd has a choice which is good
Everyone decked up to look their best
Even if their life is at its worst
The place is a riot of commotion
And air filled with all emotion
Only to subside after evening reception
Normalcy returns to the couple after honeymoon
With sweetness gone they wonder all too soon
Yet inevitable this gathering of odds
A show of evolution by the human
Who still remains an animal from within..
