War!

David and Goliath

The war went on for ages, 

All types of weapons were used-

Projectiles, chemical and biological ones, 

Even electronic ones, but the enemy refused

To be cowed down, to be beaten back, 

And his unrelenting attack

Went on every day and far into the night

Small and spry, with no respite, 

It was an all-out war

Between unequal foes

It kept us all keyed up, alert

It kept us on our toes, 

This war that men can never win---

Against mosquitoes!
