Urban Cityscape

Urban cityscape

Compact and dense;

Waiting quietly,

For a new day to commence.

Rectilinear and tall

Stands relentlessly;

keeps on sprawling 

And growing endlessly.

Soon will bustle 

With life and activity;

When the sun will take everything in captivity.

From my window 

When I look out everyday.

I witness this cold, concrete wilderness;

I wait for the warm sunrise far away, 

 I distantly long to catch a ray of hope and happiness.
