Unity in Diversity

I admire India for various reasons, 

For graceful attires, and peaceful seasons.

But the best thing I like about the country, 

Is its strength "Unity in diversity" . 

Here people are always closely knit,

People of every religion- This is is India's spirit .

Here every festival has equal value,

Christmas and Eid,

Pongal and Bihu.

Though Hindi is the mother tongue, 

People also speak Tamil and Telugu .

We relish various dishes like Idli,Dosa, Pav Bhaji and appa, 

 We belong from different regions UP and UK,Sikkim and Kolkata .

We worship different gods- Buddha and Ganesha, Allah and Mahavira . 

We light diyas, decorate trees and fly kites,

Everything is diverse but still, we are one and unite.
