To a Self
To a Self
I see myself in my eyes
Speak a language not known to a foreign tongue
Live a life of irrationality, for the fear of self
To what means do I employ?
To what ends I chase?
Must I need know, for I am in control whilst even in slumber?
A part of me is hidden I feel
A part that I wouldn’t want to see
Unexplored corners call for help
Silent still, its whispers to me
But if one day It comes to meet
What chaos would my world be,
One of these days when I wake up,
I wish to see my world frozen in time
To believe that I could not lose a moment,
A moment worth a lifetime goes up in flames
Tomorrow will be different,
Sun will shine brighter than it did today,
Nights will be darker and the people merrier,
But maybe it’s not my place to be,
Maybe it was never meant to be
