Time slips away
Time slips away
Time slips away before you realize,
The times you hit that snooze button,
The times you let go of doing nothing,
The times you spent like a crazy glutton.
How many times you decided?
Things you should do, things you should not,
How many times you followed?
The plans you made to do a lot.
The morning sun reminds me of things,
I wanted to do, could do but still didn’t,
I forget it every day as the night sings,
And yet next morning, plans are ready again.
My to do list is long and boring,
My actions are rather relaxed,
With afternoon the list gets tiring,
By night, I doze off with unfinished business.
Time slips away before I complete,
Repenting every night still doesn’t help,
Because every day, the manners I repeat,
And sleep with a wish I could hold on to time.
