This Too Will Fade

The gleam will

Turn to flicker

The glisten will fade

All that sunny will slowly

Walk towards shade

The interlude

Will sprinkle melancholy

Tighten the claw

The elusive link

Will claim territory

And thrust its paw

Bright will turn to

Subtle brown

Dark clouds will hover

Shed a drop or two

And acknowledge

The ordain of yore

Before the curtain is down.
