Of carnage, of hate, of love

The scars of swords I bear

I have seen the savannahs and the stars

The sounds of the snow and the skylarks

Of faith, of beauty, of trust

The scars of nature I bear

I have seen the families and the feelings

The hope that kept them living

Of possibility, of light, of a legacy

The scars of humanity I bear

I suffer every wound under the Sun and the moon

But I choose to believe immortality is a boon
