I hold rain in my mouth to keep the flood back.

My tongue is a weakening dam.

Walk away before it breaks, & you drown.

My fingers are tornadoes. your cold weather

Mixing with the heat rising inside my heart becomes chaotic

And I want to tear your body from its foundation.

Anger, as black as a hook, overtakes me.

I snag your cheek. You fought, so I hook you twice more.

You want to bathe in the shallow of your apathy

I'll gut your inanity, watch the blood assemble apologies.

Your eyes pool & red algae converge, covering

The distance between us. your pupils decay.

I craft a vessel from your body: hollowing the abdomen,

I’ll use your arms as ores. I let the water breach my mouth.
