THE SACRED VOYAGE OF LIFE

Thatched roofs floating amidst a restless pond,

As my eyes stood gazing from a speedy bus.

We were driving our way to the country side;

To meet the drenched up land that did survive.

Stopped by families of tired but pleasant faces,

We togetherly lunched over a sumptuous meal.

With loads of dreams and delightful heart,

I experienced the best ever smiles, the world had got.

Just like the ecstatic heart of a wishful kid,

Taking his ever maiden ride on a flying swing;

A sensation of overflowing joy just struck my thought,

While I stood there handing out a gift to a very sweet tot.

I prayed for the rushing clock to still prolong,

As the games and laughter feasted like a melodic song.

Deep within, in a heaven of peace, as I was back on our vehicle seat

I realised it was The sacred voyage of life, I'm simply wanting to repeat.

No wonder I say, I discovered the synonym of satisfaction and joy;

As the whole village got together in smile, waving hands to bid goodbye.

My gratitude sounds deficit for all that’s been granted to me,

And I’m sure this is just a beginning of how true joy can be.
