The Sacred Altar
The Sacred Altar
A temple where minds are being skilled
To transform and a beautiful world build.
A dockyard where a fleet of ship is being prepared and ready,
To sail out into the world and bring change slow and steady,
A garden where blossoms are being nurtured full of beauty,
To spread joy and enjoyment in a humdrum duty
This, my dear, is our school!
Not just a framework of windows and doors,
Where the day begins with a list of endless chores
Not just a building of floor after floor
Here waves of knowledge lash the mind’s voracious shore.
Not just an edifice of brick and mortar,
It’s a podium for budding sparkling shining stars.
This, my dear, is our School!
Here developing every child’s potential
Is paramount, utmost and essential
Where the promise in every child is recognized and seen,
And it is polished to a marvelous sparkling sheen
Where teachers are always doing their best
To stimulate and sustain the child’s interest.
This, my dear, is our school!
Where our Guru’s sayings help imbibe values of life,
To cope with the worldly conflict and strife,
Where the pristine sounds of nectar-like bani,
Spreads its fragrance all around like rose and Frangipani,
Where humbleness and knowledge are valued supreme,
Joy gladdens the heart and makes the face beam…
This, my dear, is our School!
