I am a daughter, a wife and a mom 

I am an aunt, a niece and a cousin

I am a friend, a mentor and a well-wisher 

Do these identities make me complete? 

No.

I am still laying my roots long and wide 

Learning from every single soul I meet 

The branches of my roots run deep 

Trying to make me strong, humble and kind 

Do these roots make me always complete? 

No.

East or West, North or South, 

Staying grounded in my roots 

Today, tomorrow and always 

Will make me complete 

Yes.
