Rendezvous With Birds

Every evening he had a rendezvous 

With different kinds of birds! 

They came in flocks

On seeing him upstairs 

Some sat on the long ropes

And some on his shoulders

He fed them with nuts and leftovers 

And filled the shallow bowl with water 

They shared and perched

And their thirst they quenched

They neatly formed a circle in unison 

To heartily thank him for the work done 

Bade him bye and away they flew 

Until they came back

For the next Rendezvous!
