The Ray of Light
The Ray of Light

I can see that light,
That ray from far away.
So silent, so calm, so secretly it spread!
I entered it, or it did, I don't know,
It took a day, or two or three, I don't know.
It didn't ask for proof of sad or happiness,
It accepted me, all of me, into it.
And whispered, I am in you, not so far...
You hold on to me and let everything else be,
I am there to show you the shadow and its fears,
And the way, until it all clears.
By when thee reach me, all will be done,
And you will find me as bright as sun.
That day you won't see me, you will free me.
But I will remain in you, silent,
Regaining strength for the next time you would need me.
