The Monsters in my Dream

I was one of those, 

Who loved to see rainbows, 

Staring at the bright blue sky, 

I would give a lucid smile.

 

But gazing at the dark night sky, 

I realised a bitter truth of mine, 

Colours don't fascinate anymore, 

It's all getting darker in deplore. 

I tried to sleep every night, 

And then stuck paralyzed, 

Seeing those haunting dreams, 

I would fear every time. 

But I no more stay awake, 

I love to get in those chains, 

Those monsters who tried to kill, 

Have become my friends again. 

I am trying to run away, 

From things that once pleased, 

I am going away from light, 

In the dark bushes again. 

And walking away from all, 

I no more wait on the street, 

I am loving the silence now,

As I am getting used to it. 

I don't see a way out here, 

This darkness is pulling me in, 

And I'm afraid that I've become, 

One of those monsters within. 

But my love you don't worry

I'll be alive for some more time

Because every day passing by

I'm slowly getting used to it.
