The Indian January

January is a month of pleasant winters and new hopes

For our changes, these thirty-one days are the only scopes,

It's the time of grabbing sweaters for a fresh beginning

When everyone wants their flaws to be skipping.

This is a season of new aims and decisions

When we also enjoy the festivals of different traditions,

A week spending especially with family for flying kites

Celebrating the harvest of farmers with joyful heights.

The year stage when women put rangolis early mornings

And turn into children along with them playing till the evenings,

Households with the sweetness of rice welcome the Republic Day

An auspicious occasion when we enjoy the cultural fests on our television display. 

Everything at this point is happy and new

Where in the mirror there is a positive you,

Every year this new month, the dear January

Kills the evil inside us with its magic just like a fairy.
