THE ANNIHILATION

THE ANNIHILATION

1 min

She ambled by her road of thought,

while pondering on her banal life,

the wordless dilemma enclosing her,

Within inner turmoil and strife.

Picking up the broken shards,

Peering through the window pane,

"I am more than this", she wondered,

 Her thoughts convoluted with pain.

Her identity was a strangled bird,

Gasping for a breath,

Her life perambulated,

Between her chores and death.

The lightning flashed across the sky,

She looked up determined,

Her body and soul struggled to keep pace,

She took one last breath and made up her mind.

She finally looked beyond the window pane into the gleaming meadows,

Her heart drunk in elation,

She had found her lost voice, her lost identity again,

She became a new her with her newfound annihilation.
