That One Cat

That One Cat

That one day was all enough to change me,

It made me dig deep into myself,

to discover who's man can I be.

But that day, threw me into perplexity,

surrounded by the clouds in sadness,

it seemed like God held something against me,

And was punishing me with brashness.

Pulling myself through that day,

was a dilemma in itself,

that a chubby, bossy, scruffy but bright-eyed cat came and sat on my shelf.

She first gazed at me with her innocence,

giving me sometime,

to fall prey into her mysteries and suspense.

With every breath and passing moment,

the ambience filled with silence,

and became all dense.

Suddenly, the clouds woke up

and started making rumbling noises,

It felt like the bursting clouds,

would take the cat away.

But to my shock, it seemed

like the humpty cat was enjoying it right away.

I didn't know, watching her dance

could cost my newly facialed face,

Scratches spreaded all over,

with that humpty sitting upon my case.

It was a dreadful day, spent with that cat,

I always knew I would be killed by her,

Because that's what always happens to a rat.
