Tons of water splashing into a pool

Tons of water used to keep the body cool,

Tons of water used in the sink

Water scarcity is something we don't think.

To keep the vegetables fresh water is used 

To replenish the soil water is infused,

We don't realize down the line what we will have to drink ?

Half filled bottles are disposed off 

Freshwater used to clean vehicles is wasted off,

Soon the petals of lotus shall not remain pink

Water scarcity is something we don't think.

Plants are weeping due to lack of water

Animals are in constant search of fodder,

Photosynthesis and other natural processes are not in sync

Water scarcity is something we don't think.

Let’s take a pledge today here 

We shall clean our rivers and make them clear,

Water is the most important resource 

Let’s not be selfish towards this mighty force!
