Soldiers three

Climbed a tree

To catch and kill a bumblebee.

Which had stung their boss, 

A high-handed 

Army officer

Called

Dr. Arnold Tylor,

Of whom was scared 

Every subordinate and junior.

Dr. Tylor suffered 

From intense pain,

So he told his men

If they failed to kill the bumblebee, 

He would like to send  

Them to heaven.

Tylor’s wife Anita was 

An innocent lady.

She had none in this world 

Except for her daddy.

To hang herself she was ready.

Dr. Tylor tortured her too much;

So she cried and 

Prayed at church

To escape from her 

Husband’s clutch.

Anita’s late brother Mr. Lee

Had stung Tylor in the guise 

Of a bumblebee;

To punish him resolved was he.

In a dream, Tylor saw 

Anita’s dead brother

Who warned him not 

To torture his sister any longer

Or he had to face 

The consequences of 

The spirit’s extreme anger.

Tylor got up and felt very sad

And realized he 

Had been very bad;

So his wife had gone half-mad.

Next morning Tylor 

Saw the bee again

But to kill it 

He didn’t order his men,

Though he had not yet 

Recovered from the pain;

Tylor decided to abandon 

His mistress Julia

And to live with his wife 

Peacefully in India,

Although his heart was filled 

With nostalgia.

Soldiers three

From their tricky and ticklish

Obligations were then set free

And profusely thanked 

The spirit of late Mr. Lee.
