Simple Thankfulness

Have you ever realised,

That now life is not more than a hectic mess

Have you ever just sweetly smiled 

On what the simple things confess?

Have you ever noticed

The wonders of sunlight

The bounty of nature

And the mysteries it beholds?

Have you ever appreciated?

The carelessness of a young tide

The ecstasy of its eyes 

The love of its words, which sometimes helps your day thrive?

Have you ever noticed,

The love of your people

Warming your heart, 

Have you been grateful

To this universe for its sweet tarts? 

We are so engaged 

That we don't know the simple fines

We are so lost and away

That we miss on those glorious divines 

Shouldn't we, at least once a day

Express the gratitude for this love & soul 

Instead of grimacing on what life takes away? 

Shouldn't we at least be thankful,

Because this might be our chance to live in something so bountiful?
