O! lovely tree

You can no longer

Hold me tight

Bid goodbye

As I take leave

And be ready

To be out of sight

Shed not

Even a drop of tear

O! Branch dear

I shall not be

Part of the whole

Any more

But shall carry with me

All fond memories

And sweet nothings of yore

O! Tiny birds

Squirrels and butterflies

Shall miss you a lot

For I owe you

My daily dose of smile

And happiness slot

Till I fade

From green to yellow

And then turn deep brown

O! Mother earth

Take me in your arms

Just hold me once

In deep embrace.
