Self For Sale

On the board was written 'self for sale'

Seen was a crowd swarming around the shop

To not to miss out the best among selves,

I hastened my pace to buy a self.

"It costs a self to buy a self

Of Johannes's, Patrik's, Stella's and 

Many more selves are now on sale!"

And I bought a self that fitted me the most!

I put my new attire on 

It fared no fair as the time went by 

I sold it and bought a new one

Yet none of them fared well with me.

I ran to the shop to buy my self back

Seen was around the shop a mad crowd

Fighting each other was selfless men

For they knew now what value one's self has!

Scanning all the faces of men around,

I forced my way through that thick crowd

Seen on the face was nothing I searched for

But a new attire of despair and reproach!
