Running Away Again

Taut breaths of lines of near-invisible string,
Empty words whispering, talking shouting,
Frozen camellias embedded into unforgiving stone,
Just one more second, just one more day, just one more
Lifetime. Threading glazed honey through pinecones,
Shattering golden skies into pieces. Is red
The colour of death or life? Torn petals are fluttering
To the ground, graves of happiness once felt.
Awaiting the rusted train pulling into the station
Let's go anywhere but here.
