Prescribed Hour

I am a sojourner 

For the wee hour, 

I am a sojourner 

For the wee hour.

Oh! Callous world, 

You can't 

Deprive me 

Of my right,

Deprive me. 

In the balcony 

With an innocuous smile, 

Sylph dotes on me. 

Cajoling her hair, 

I ooze 

Umpteen emotions 

To make love triumphant 

And 

The naysayers, the looser. 

Yes, sun winks, 

Morning azures the sky, 

Tears drop from her eyes 

And my errand ends. 

I return to my world 

With a promise 

To come 

Without any fail in the Prescribed hour 

To again vanquish 

The recalcitrant world.
