They asked me if I wanted to be free,
Thinking they could grant freedom to me.
Only if they could read or see,
I was always free in poetry.
Once I fought for peace and democracy
Then I strived to break the barriers of society,
Who had decided starving made me pretty
But I was always free in poetry.
My ex-friends, depression, and anxiety
I faced those serpents with bravery.
Finally, I can be ME in poetry,
Cause I was always free in poetry.
