Ah! She's back
She sits and gapes
I wonder
Exactly at what she stares?
The sky? The moon?
The clouds?... Or perhaps this loon?
Like a box of candies
Thousands drop by
To look at us:
Me and my allies
Some red, some green
Some white, some unseen.
What makes her unique
Is that she's pink...
She is here per day
But never complains
Rather credits us... The stars
For looking out
From behind the shades.
They appreciate
The sky for screening
The moon for illuminating
The sun for its warmth
But what about us...
The stars?
When you're stranded forlorn
And nothing seems right
"Come, look above"
Says the night sky
The countless beings
Spreading their light
So you can charge forward
With all your might.
Sigh it's time now
For her to leave
With the same promise,
She intends to keep.
That she'll visit again
But not to complain
Rather to thank us all
For the parts we play.
