Not A Hero

Spiderman,

Superman,

Iron man,

And what not,

The paradigm of superheroes,

Would label me flawed.

The mask of batman,

The dawn and eclipse,

But I'm not the kind of person that it fits.

If I were a superhero,

I wouldn't be the flying kind,

Nor the one with super strength.

But the one who would demand humanity to be kind.

I'd be the one to foster peace and perspective,

And free them from biases that have kept them captive.

Rather than fighting crime,

I'd like to remove the evil that generates crime.

Dark battling darkness seldom creates a light,

I'd like to cry it out loud to the ones who contemplate war.

If only I were a superhero,

I wish that I could,

Steal focus away from pelf,

And end the apocalypse of my race, the human race,

That it has inflicted unto itself.
