My Soul Beckons
My Soul Beckons
It falls again and winter sprawls
Bountiful harvests steal the show
Ecstatic earth simmers
To a land of mirth. My soul beckons
Bonfires, campfires built with love
Prepare us for fun-filled ambiences
Hope this time we are privy to
Magical moments that Christmas hath in store
Gripping claws of pandemic
Had full say on last year's celebrations
We lost our near and dear ones
And mankind lost all hope
Consuming delicacies
In this frosty weather
Feels like dollops of nectar
Titillating the taste bud
My heart twirls in happiness
As my lenses capture
Cosmic dalliance in splendours of nature
Hope gathers momentum
Overpowers my faltering belief
My heart prompts
And the soul's voice reckons
This time for sure.
We shall have an exotic celebration.
