My Family

My family consisted of eight people

My mother, father and six children

Our togetherness and liveliness was,

Always eyed upon by the morose folks.

There were discipline, obedience and good manners,

My parent's honesty stumbled the outsiders;

We children were so simple, emotional and caring,

These values were instilled by our loving parents.

At lunch and dinner, we all sat together always

Food was tastier because we all shared;

And the satisfaction it gave was God's blessing,

We were mostly happy without any reason.

Today, my loving parents are no more in this world,

We brothers and sisters yearn for that golden time;

Sometimes we do take out time from our busy schedules,

And get together to celebrate some special happy family time.
