My Experiment With God
My Experiment With God

They say...
God lives
In the land of innocence
In childlike essence
And so ..
I hugged a child
In deep embrace
Prayed with all intent
Taking along wish fervent
To stage a comeback
To my salad days
They say...
God exists
In the hills and mountains..
Thickest of jungles
In sprawling landscapes
And so..
I went up hills
Scaled mountains
Traveled through landscapes
To find a glimpse
Of the Supreme
And elicit answers
To my only question
"Can I traverse back in time
To reach and access
The period of prime?"
They say ...
You love to perch
In the deepest of oceans
To enjoy intensity of swing
Perpetual ebb and flow
And so ..
One day... I sat on the shore
Ignoring Time's score
To explore and comprehend
Your benign presence
And be able to fill the void
With limitless space..
Receive and embrace
The apt answer
From the divine juror
That my sensitive question
And ardent pleadings
Were looking for.
