My Country

There were scams,

In many schemes,

But you should not talk,

There were loopholes,

But you should not say,

There are crimes,

Heinous acts,

Happening in front of you,

But you should not talk,

Of course,

My country has a rich history,

Number of traditions,

To put us together,

To feel the world is like one family,

How many of us think in this way,

If you support the Government 

Someone comment you are bhakt,

If you oppose Government,

Someone comment you are suspicious,

What my country is losing,

That same freedom of expression,

yearned by this land,

Years ago,

Why do we forget the basic sense of freedom,

Why do we forget basic responsibility towards society,

Are we just trespassers,

In the borders of democracy,

Or are we gonna take charge,

Or just pulling each other's legs is enough,

What we are going to teach our children,

Studying and settling in Foreign,

Or be the chance to see whatever you want to change,

Or like many,

Will you be silent,

Which costs you in future,

But secures today's sleep,

My country,

How can you say it is your county,

When you are not standing for it?
