Love Has Seasons

Love Has Seasons

Amidst the crowd and lovers,

She was searching for her soul.

Screaming underneath the covers,

"Who said you need a boyfriend to be a whole?"

The soul which was lost,

With her heart which was broken.

What does love cost?

It's the words that are unspoken.

It's a day for love and for herself,

To learn how to be selfish sometimes,

Hang a few old pictures on the shelf,

And to commit a few crimes.

It's a day to fall,

And forget whatever happens.

There's God above all,

And love has seasons.
