Introversion

My lethargic eyes never learnt to shut down,

No matter how tiring the day was,

No matter how hard life is,

No matter how mundane everything will be,

My lethargic eyes keep opening up.

My fatigued mind never learnt to stop thinking,

No matter how intense the pressure was,

No matter how numb the schedule is,

No matter how ridiculous the situation will be,

My fatigued mind keeps drowning in thoughts.

My broken body never learnt to stop moving,

No matter how painful the burden was,

No matter how heavy the chains are,

No matter how stinging the rains will be,

My broken body keeps on dragging.

They never learnt to stop talking to the void,

The void where the luminous being resides,

Where only the argot of silence presides,

Yet their banter goes on from today to eternity.

I eavesdrop from the threshold of night,

Listening to the echoes of these nocturnal verses,

For I am still a student of this tutoring lot of never-learners,

For I am yet to decipher their chorus of whispers and murmurs,

To be learned and sage is a path of discovery,

A cavernous journey from me to the 'I' recovery.
