I Wished

I Wished

I wished and wished and wished and wished

And all I ever did was wished and wished.

I wished I would have never been born,

So I wouldn't have been pricked by all these thorns.

I wished my body wouldn't have suffered all this,

Maybe I deserved a little bliss.

I wished I would have grown up faster,

So I could have moved away from my parents and been my own master.

I wished I was older,

So I could have faced people and was a little bolder.

I wished all this would have happened when I wished for it to happen,

So now I wouldn't have been a soul so saddened.
