Abstract

I Live To Endure

I Live To Endure

There is no tree left to sit and watch

It's appalling, dismaying

And gruesome

Near the black stones,

Flowers are crumpled and still

No place is left to reside and hide

Forests are desiccated and devoid

I move into that infertile field

No fecund rain in this twilight

No music to soothe the dumb ears

Flowers of blue and ruby-red

Fallen and sullen

And the void of silence

Besides the sedate lake

What is this bird doing here---

With ruffled wings and a frail frame

In the midst of a wakeful sea

And no dew drops ....only grisly time

A late-season filled with dripping rain

I don't know where I should go...

I am an Island

Embittered

Expunged

And destroyed

Now I will not come to your door

I am alone, aloof

And grief-stricken

Near the frozen lake

Sad and woeful

I live to endure

The obnoxious time

I live to die

In the sea of Troubles

Anchorless

Beggarly

Pathless

And void
