Harambe

In the faded memory of my existence,

I see the similarity with your Harambe,

"Man-handled' for existing,

Shot down for handling things our way.

This man doesn't want us to breathe,

Live free or dream Harambe,

It threatens his existence,

His colony is our home,

Not a place for our resistance.

He says he will reach Mars,

Colonize its beings too,

Maybe then when he leaves earth,

It would be for his good.

You and I could live peacefully,

Unbothered,

Protecting our own,

Not snatched of our own bodies,

Not used and thrown.

It's not that I am afraid of this man Harambe,

But he fears me too much,

Threatened by my ability to see his truth,

And fighting back would kill not just him but us.

I dream of a world Harambe, where you and I could live,

Not controlling our rage,

Not hoping for its end.

I wish you and I could live Harambe,

A being free from the chains of men,

A woman free from his kingdom of reins.
