Good days and bad

There are days when imagination

runs its wild horses across the

lush, green, untainted canvas of our mind.

There are others

when no matter where we look,

all we see is dunes of gritty colourless sand,

no oasis, not even a mirage in sight.

When we capacitate ourselves

enough to want to build sand castles

of the desert sand,

strengthen it with sheer grit,

surround it with shells of lessons life taught

is when we know

there's nothing life can throw at us

that we can't handle.
