Goliath And The Snake
Goliath And The Snake
Goliath walked proudly and graciously
Tapped a snake, coiled up and resting
On a rock warm and cozy
Woah! Sprang up Goliath
At the gaze of his prey to be
"You disturbed my nap"
Then followed another tap, a cautious one
"Don't! " snake straightens up to fight
To put things right
Goliath puts on his innocent face
Took a few steps back, one at a time
Sat down, as if admitting his folly
Oh Goliath! my sweet, little cat
You remind me of how
We create our own troubles
When we have none
