Full Moon
Full Moon
The full moon gazes into my eyes
A face like no other
Blemished yet beautiful
She asks me what I'd wish for
If only wishes came true
I'd say, "I wish for you"
For bitter and better
For tears and fears
For smiles that last a while
As long as I have you
By my side through every tide
When I'm down, through every frown
My smile to share, caressing your hair
A thought strikes my mind
Why can't my bus of life just crash?
I then tell myself
"Stop thinking such trash"
Let's get to the station, the destination
It'll surely be worth falling into the dirt
So just hang on and stay strong
Trust your gut, you'll be fine
Getting better with time, just like fine wine
For now, broken and bruised
Is all that you've got left
"Deal with it, my son"
She said to me with in a run
I'll be here with my light
You'll never be out of sight
Guiding you to your love
The one sent from above
Uniting your hearts as one
One day, just not today
Trust me, it'll be okay
Close your eyes and go to bed
Get one thing into your head
I'm here only in the night
Tomorrow's sun will shine bright
Brighter than I
Cause I only reflect his light
