I remember your cathartic laughs,

Pretty sly smiles,

Jokes were endless,

And together was all our time.

Sometimes we talked till our throats hurt,

Spilled dark secrets,

Your eyes were when loquacious and bright,

Then lips were sealed tight.

Weird jokes and silly games we played,

Shared passion and love like ink spread on thread,

No, we weren’t lovers,

We were so much more.

You were my cure,

Against this venomous place,

One dose of you,

Thus, I’m recreated pure.

Teasing was a mission,

Crimson on your cheek was the aim,

Saving you was my duty,

Not letting you go!

You vanished like the wind,

Can’t see, only feel,

Here, I entrench you in my heart,

Waiting for you till the end.

Dear friend, come back,

Promises of eternity isn’t mine,

Just be there,

When I crave your dose.

Be there to erase my tears,

I’ll soak up your pain,

Like a cotton ball on my ink’s pen,

Making you forget all those fears.

I’ll be here waiting for you,

With memories to reminisce,

With warmth in my smile,

And love for you in my eyes.
