College Life
College Life
The night seemed endlessly stretching,
The day seemed abruptly short,
Was it the season winter?
No, it was not.
It touched me like spring,
With new escapades budding around,
But then it’s all erased,
Leaving only the trail behind.
It was a bare canvas before,
But now we can paint it all,
Many new faces were carved,
On the wood of our hearts.
Love, friendship and bonds were made,
Even the torture of assignments,
Couldn’t break us away,
Bit by bit, we found our true selves here.
Noodles at midnight was a necessity,
And tea/coffee was our alarm clock,
Best part was wandering with friends around the city,
Not caring about rules of dorm.
Mass bunk was everyone’s favourite
Studying one day before exam was duty,
Notes in lecture, no one writes,
Professors never ever took pity.
Projects were a burden,
And weekends were short,
And it was such a pain,
Even attendance was short.
Time was ticking,
Eternities running by,
But I will never forget,
The sweet college life.
