Flying Colors

Flying Colors

I saw you that day swinging along the twig,

Neither the breeze nor the sunlight awakened you,

For days you rested there without food or drinks,

And spun a silky mesh that covered your skin,

The shiny chrysalis now adorns your body,

Within it, you mold yourself to form a new You.

One day you tear open your glossy shield,

And face the real world gleefully,

As you kiss the petals and flutter around,

Enjoy your life amidst the fragrant crowd,

Your colorful wings make us wonder,

Did the artist splash you with colors or you're just a colorful creation of the Creator?
