Depression 19
Depression 19
Hello, how are you?
Well I'm here
So l can't be good
Right?
Why do therapists ask that?
And some say
Follow me
Well
I'm not a pet you know
I know
l have let myself go
Not washed in a while
Or comb my hair
Looking like a dog.
Sue replies with,
I didn't mean anything bad.
But it's good
To let all your emotions out.
Sue, Did it help you write things down?
Well, l don't know if it helped me.
What l can tell you, is l did it a few times.
But really found it difficult to express what I'm feeling.
I don't have any energy
And it feels too much like a chore.
I am unable to focus.
It's not easy you know
Like sitting here
In this place
Herewith you,
A stranger really.
Letting things out
Letting them go.
But you have to try
You have to help me
So l can help you
I know it's hard
But little steps
Are better
Than none.
And your here
You've made the first move.
And
For you to move forward
And get better
You need to try a little more, okay
I'll tell you what on a scale from one to ten.
How bad would you say your depression affects you?
If you had to score it?
I'd say a 10.
Ok
And where would you like to be?
When do you leave from here?
I'd say 1.
Ok, so for us to work towards that number.
You have to work on it.
And like l told you last time.
Write what you feel
Every day down in a journal.
Make a note of the date and time, okay
That way we can identify any pattern of your episodes you feel
Okay l will
That's good.
Well, l think on that note.
We will end it for today okay.
See you next week.
The session has ended.
